The 7th Scrap to Profit Conference has been planned for October 25-26 at the Inn at Opryland Hotel in Nashville. The conference will highlight innovation to fuel activity on scrap tire markets.

The event is sponsored by the Scrap Tire Research and Education Foundation and the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation’s Office of Sustainable Practices, the Rubber Manufacturers Association, and Division of Solid Waste.

The conference will focus at non-commercial topics and will include discussions of tire-derived fuel (TDF), civil engineering applications, new ground rubber markets, and other industry developments, as reported by an RMA press release.

Among other topics at the conference will be: needs for research and innovation for nascent markets, recent innovations in scrap tire uses, and news in pyrolysis and gasification technologies.

Also, one day before the conference a meeting of the Scrap Tire Work Group is scheduled. The group will discuss overall progress in U.S. state scrap tire markets and programs.
