The Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC) is organizing its 13th Annual Rubber Conference, Opening Session of 45th ANRPC Assembly and 6th ANRPC Public-Private Meet at Radisson Blu Hotel, Guwahati, India on 9 and 10 October 2023 (Monday and Tuesday). This event is hosted by the Rubber Board of India, Government of India.

The one-day conference, with the theme “Natural Rubber Industry: Challenges and Policy Options in the 21st Century”, will provide an international meeting point and a platform for meaningful interactions and networking among rubber industry players, policy makers, researchers, and commodity analysts across countries.

It's essential for policymakers engaged in the rubber sector to comprehend the development of the natural rubber market. Over the past two decades, a series of global challenges have emerged. The pandemic has induced a deceleration in both the supply and demand for various raw materials, including natural rubber. The invasion of Ukraine by Russia has caused energy prices to soar. This created disruptions in supply chains, fuelled inflation, resulted in tighter monetary policies, strengthened the US dollar and created fears of a recession. This affected the supply and demand of natural rubber equally. At this juncture, concerted action by countries along with appropriate domestic policy formulation is essential for the sustainable growth and development of the rubber industry. In this context, the conference seeks to provide insights into developments in the global rubber industry to enable policy makers to formulate appropriate policies for a sustainable natural rubber sector.

The opening session of 45th ANRPC Assembly and 6th ANRPC Public-Private Meet will be a half-day programme on the following day, 10 October 2023.

All interested individuals and organizations are welcome to register till 15 September 2023 (Friday). Due to limited seating, registration is on first-come first-served basis.
