ANRPC releases the Natural Rubber Trends, November 2021
The Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC) says its outlook of global natural rubber has improved further this month based on the preliminary updates given by Member Governments up to November 2021. Although the production in most producing countries is affected by adverse weather this month, the global production of NR is expected to grow by 2.1% to 13.882 million tonnes. The outlook on global demand remains positive with expansion by 8.7% to 14.076 million. The favorable market fundamental brought positive sentiments to the NR market.
ANRPC notes the price movements of NR across futures and physical markets have posted an upward price trend during November 2021. This may likely be supported with the supply of raw material remain tight caused by the adverse weather in producing countries. E.g., more rainfalls have affected the tapping activities in the country and lead to lower production. Recently, Thailand has detected an outbreak of new leaf fall disease in eastern region of Thailand, Chanthaburi, Trat province with an affected area of 16 hectares. The said authority is monitoring closely on this matter to prevent further spread to other plantations.
