Anva Polytech to cut emissions using Enviro’s recovered carbon black from end-of-life tires
Anva Polytech has announced a significant reduction in emissions—over 1,000,000 kg of CO₂ equivalents—by incorporating recovered carbon black (rCB) from Scandinavian Enviro Systems – a Swedish end-of-life tire pyrolysis equipment manufacturer and operator – into its rubber products. This eco-friendly material has been pivotal in reducing the carbon footprint of both Anva and its clients, particularly through its Climarub material used in products supplied to Volvo Car Corporation and The Volvo Group.
This long-term collaboration with Enviro has resulted in the production of over 175 million chassis and body plugs for Volvo, emphasizing Anva’s commitment to sustainable manufacturing. Each kilogram of Enviro’s rCB has a notably smaller carbon impact compared to virgin carbon black, marking a significant step in the shift toward greener rubber compounds.
Anva’s use of recovered carbon black also extends beyond the automotive sector, with sustainable components supplied to industries like international pipe manufacturing, including seals and gaskets for Alvenius.
