Bir’s tyres & rubber committee appoints new chairman
Max Craipeau, CEO of Greencore Resources in Hong Kong (a former Maxco Industries (HK) Ltd) has been given a role of Chairman of the Tyres and Rubber Committee at BIR Tyres & Rubber.
Prior to starting his own business in Hong Kong, Craipeau spent more than a decade working in the recycling sector collaborating with ex-President of the BIR Non-Ferrous Metals Division Marc Natan. Since then, Craipeau has become a prominent name in the recycling and tire industries in Asia and Europe. He has displayed his strong commitment to the tire recycling sector by working on innovations.
The Bureau of International Recycling (BIR) positions itself as the only global recycling industry association representing around 800 companies and 35 affiliated national recycling federations from 70 different countries. Its members are world leaders in the supply of raw materials and a key pillar for sustainable economic development.
Founded in 1948, BIR was the first federation to support the interests of the recycling industry on an international scale. Today, BIR represents over 760 member companies from the private sector and 36 national associations in more than 70 countries. Together, these members form the largest international recycling federation.
The Bureau of International Recycling promotes materials recycling and facilitates free and fair trade of recyclables in a sustainable and competitive world economy.
