Bridgestone EMEA earns fourth consecutive Platinum EcoVadis rating for tire sustainability leadership
Bridgestone EMEA has been awarded the prestigious Platinum rating from EcoVadis for the fourth consecutive year, placing the company among the top 1% of approximately 130,000 organizations assessed globally in 2024. This recognition highlights Bridgestone’s strong sustainability performance across four key areas: Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. Notably, the company achieved a perfect score in the Environment category.
Commitment to sustainability and innovation Bridgestone’s Platinum rating reflects its ongoing efforts to enhance sustainability through its Sustainability Business Model and Bridgestone E8 Commitment. The company has made significant strides in reducing its environmental impact, with verified data showing a 66% reduction in carbon dioxide equivalent (CO₂e) emissions at its EMEA manufacturing plants since 2011.
Key sustainability highlights for 2024:
- A partnership with Grupo BB&G and Versalis to develop a closed-loop recycling system, transforming end-of-life tires into new tires.
- The launch of the Potenza Sport ᴀ for the Audi eTron, Bridgestone’s first mass-produced tire using 55% ISCC PLUS certified recycled and renewable materials.
