The Circular Rubber Platform, in collaboration with Elastomer Research Testing BV, will host a two-day training course titled Training Circular Rubber on December 9–10, 2025, in Deventer, the Netherlands. The program is designed to provide an accessible introduction to rubber technology with a strong focus on circularity and sustainability.

The course covers the fundamentals of rubber compounding and production processes, linking them to circular economy principles. Participants will also gain a clear understanding of regulatory frameworks, renewable raw materials, and recovery and recycling technologies for rubber waste. Practical insights will be reinforced through life cycle assessment (LCA) approaches and case studies highlighting real-world applications.

The training is aimed at companies working with rubber that want to reduce their environmental footprint, as well as governmental and non-governmental organizations interested in the role of circularity in the rubber industry. No technical background is required, making the course accessible to a broad audience with an interest in sustainability.

The program will be led by M.Sc. Jan Boomsma and B.Sc. Enrico Koggel from the Circular Rubber Platform, together with Dr. Ir. Dirk Balkenende from Elastomer Research Testing BV.

Sessions will take place at ERT B.V., Teugseweg 27, 7418 AM Deventer.
