ETRA conference to discuss concrete reinforced with tire-derived steel
Concrete is the most extensively consumed commodity on the planet after water, and it represents a significant potential market for Recycled Tyre Materials (RTMs). The Green Dealles Project looked into some potential applications. The goal of this project is to develop a prototype for a novel "predalles" slab for casting partially precast floors in civil and industrial structures.
Steel fibres from end-of-life tires will replace a portion of the typical virgin components of concrete and reinforcing bars in this slab, dubbed "GreenDealles."
The project's target audience is:
- Construction businesses
- Engineers and architects
- Producers of concrete
- Tire recyclers
The project potential will be highlighted during the 27th Annual ETRA Conference on Tire Recycling, which will be held at the Le Louise Hotel in Brussels from May 30 to June 1, 2022.
Robert Weibold – the founder and managing director of Weibold Tire Recycling Consulting – is attending the conference. If you would like to meet with Robert Weibold, discuss business opportunities or Weibold's consulting services and products, please send your inquiry at sales@weibold.com.
