A Partner Built on Deep Industry Expertise
Mr. Lukas Baur brings over two decades of hands-on experience in the maintenance, servicing, and complete overhaul of industrial shredders. His capabilities include welding, hardfacing, shaft and knife rebuilding, complex assembly, hydraulics, and full electrical engineering services handled in coordination with a trusted partner company based in Halle/Saale. Operating out of a central base in Worbis, Germany, Mr. Baur is strategically positioned to reach customers across the EU within 24 hours in the event of an emergency, covering a service radius of approximately 1,000 kilometres.
Talking ground-level capability, Mr. Baur's team operates with 12 Mercedes Sprinter service vans, 24 skilled technicians, specialised bearing-change tooling, a fully equipped hydraulic workshop, and a 1,000 square metre facility with a 5-ton crane track. This demonstrates that Mr. Baur and his team are fully equipped to handle the complete scope of Fornnax’s European service requirements.
A Strategic Bet on the Right Brand
Having specialised in Eldan, Lindner and Vecoplan shredders for years across the European recycling industry, Mr Baur’s decision to partner with Fornnax is rooted in a sharp market observation. Mr. Baur has developed a deep understanding of what plant operators truly need from a machine and from the team behind it. When he came across Fornnax's reputation for robust construction, superior wear protection, and accessible maintenance design, the fit was immediately clear.
The European tire recycling industry is currently navigating a structural crisis. Cost pressures, shrinking margins, deferred investments, and a severe shortage of skilled workers have all contributed to a difficult operating environment for plant operators. Lukas sees this as a call to action and a strong reason to invest in a partnership that offers real technical depth and fast response capabilities.
For Mr. Baur, Fornnax stands apart not merely as another OEM, but as a brand combining strong price-performance with the ambition to lead. As he states,
Fornnax, with its exceptional price-performance ratio and superior quality, has the potential to become a market leader in Europe. We would like to be their service partner in this journey.
Service Scope Under the Partnership
As an authorized service partner, Mr. Baur will handle the full lifecycle of Fornnax equipment support in the EU, covering installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and spare parts supply across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical domains. Looking ahead, he also aims to evolve into a central spare parts distribution hub for Fornnax's European customers, particularly if Fornnax establishes a warehouse presence in Worbis to support faster fulfilment.
The growth plan is equally ambitious. Lukas intends to expand by adding two to three additional service teams and vehicles every year, progressively increasing coverage and capacity across the continent.
A Shared Vision for Customer Excellence
Speaking on the strategic importance of the partnership, Mr. Jignesh Kundaria, Director and CEO of Fornnax, said:
We strongly believe that by continuously improving our service quality and customer satisfaction index, we can build long-term relationships with our customers. Higher customer satisfaction leads to greater trust, which significantly increases repeat orders and ultimately drives sustained growth in our sales revenue.
This philosophy sits at the core of why Fornnax is building a dedicated service partner network in Europe rather than relying on remote support alone. With Mr. Baur now formally part of that network, European customers will now have faster response times, expert technical assistance, and a partner that genuinely understands the demands of high-throughput shredding operations.
Mr. Baur's appointment reflects Fornnax's broader ambition to establish itself as the preferred shredding solution provider across the European recycling industry, and this partnership is a meaningful step in that direction.
