Kentucky offers grants to advance tire recycling and collection
Funding of $4,000 for scrap tire recycling and clearance has now become available to Kentucky counties thanks to the local authority Waste Tire Trust Fund.
Gary Logsdon who manages the program explained that the funding will not be provided to cover labor and equipment costs, but it will help cover expenses for actual tire recycling and clearance of scrap tires.
The grants will become available from July 1, 2019, and the program will last until June 30, 2020. Following the grant implementation, counties will have to present receipts by July 15 next year showing their thorough expenditure reports.
To get a grant, it is important to submit application no later than June 7, 2019. To apply click here.
