Kyrgyzstan's tire recycling plant to complete testing phase by late 2024
The Kyrgyzstan tire recycling plant, operated by a branch of Kumtor Gold Company LLC, is set to complete its testing phase by late 2024. President Sadyr Japarov recently visited the facility in Tokmok town, Chui Region.
Having started test operations last year, the plant has already recycled 900,000 kilograms of tires in eight months. The primary goal of the project is to reduce environmental impact through waste tire recycling, utilizing modern German technology for cleaner production.
Once at full capacity, the plant will recycle up to 2 tonnes of waste tires per hour. This efficiency will lower tire replacement costs by 30-40%. The recycled products will be marketed both within Kyrgyzstan and internationally.
