The search for ELTs (end of life tires) by Marevivo and EcoTyre in Italy on land and at sea has begun, and this year the companies begin in Mazara del Vallo.

Thanks to the extra collections arranged by EcoTyre and carried out with the invaluable assistance of Marevivo volunteers, this year marks the ninth edition of this effort, supported by the Ministry of Ecological Transition, in support of the environment and the conservation of the sea.

ELTs are categorized as permanent trash because they don't degrade and stay in the environment for a very long time. But if properly handled, they are completely recyclable and become resources. The crumbs and powders produced by their processing can be used for a variety of applications, from sound-absorbing panels to shockproof flooring, passing through urban furniture to modified asphalts.
