Mobile recycling technology for synthetic turf enhances rubber circularity
In Casalmaggiore, Italy, known for its historic connection to the Po River, a team of entrepreneurs has developed a fully mobile recycling system for end-of-life turf. Presented during an open day organized by All Sports Recycled on June 4th, this unique wet separation technology effectively cleans and separates sand and crumb rubber, ensuring high circularity and cost efficiency.
This technology makes artificial turf completely circular, allowing recycled rubber infill to be reused on-site, reducing both pollution and transportation costs. Replan's Working Group attended the event, noting the sustainability benefits despite recent infill ban decisions potentially limiting its impact.
