NE-TECH successfully launches hot commissioning at Karcag
November 2, 2026 – Karcag, Hungary — NE-TECH Group announces the successful completion of cold commissioning across the entire Karcag end-of-life tire (ELT) pyrolysis facility, with MOL’s technical and chemical experts. After completing plant construction, this milestone marks the transition from cold-system verification to active start-up testing.
The plant is now in test operation as part of ongoing hot commissioning. These test runs have produced tire pyrolysis oil (TPO). In parallel, NE-TECH has completed commissioning of the recovered carbon black (rCB) line together with Hosokawa Alpine and has successfully micronized rCB. The staged commissioning of the reactor lines will continue ahead of regular plant operation.

“Completing cold commissioning of the entire Karcag facility is an important milestone for NE-TECH,” said Viktor Váradi, CEO of NE-TECH Group. “Our European-developed CrCC™ technology has progressed from engineering and construction into on-site test operation. We are now focused on the remaining steps toward regular operation.”
In early November, Line 1 will continue its staged ramp-up on an initial five-day-per-week test-production schedule.
Line 2 is planned to enter hot commissioning in mid-November, also on a five-day-per-week test-production schedule. Both reactor lines are targeted for regular operation in early December 2026, subject to successful commissioning.
The facility is based on NE-TECH’s proprietary Continuously Revolving Charge Cycle (CrCC™) technology. Developed in Europe, the modular system has now progressed through project delivery and plant-wide cold commissioning at Karcag. The site includes two pyrolysis reactor lines and associated systems for rCB processing.
About NE-TECH Group
NE-TECH Group, founded in 2003 as New Energy Kft. and in commercial operation since 2007, is an innovative technology group. Its group companies specialize in developing and commercializing circular-economy solutions. NE-TECH’s primary mission is to turn formerly untreatable polymer-based and organic waste streams into valuable raw materials for the petrochemical and rubber industry, thus addressing the unsustainable extraction of natural resources in an economically viable manner.
NE-TECH has developed and commercialized proprietary technology that converts waste tires into secondary raw materials, supporting its partners' and customers' circular economy strategies.
