Niutech completes group restructuring to expand tire and plastic chemical recycling
Niutech Technology Group Co., Ltd. has completed a group restructuring intended to support further expansion in industrial continuous pyrolysis, tire recycling and plastic chemical recycling. The restructuring was completed on August 26, 2026, and the company’s registered business scope now includes resource recycling technology research and development, machinery R&D, specialized equipment manufacturing and new materials development. Niutech says it has worked on industrial continuous pyrolysis for nearly 40 years and has applied its technology to more than 30 waste streams, including end-of-life tires and waste plastics. Its systems are designed to convert these materials into recycled outputs such as pyrolysis oil, recovered carbon black and non-condensable combustible gas. The company is also expanding capacity in China, advancing large-scale continuous pyrolysis equipment for international markets and exploring further upgrading pathways for tire pyrolysis oil, including potential links with sustainable aviation fuel value chains.
Restructuring broadens Niutech’s business scope
Following the restructuring, Niutech’s registered activities now formally cover resource recycling technology R&D, machinery research and development, specialized equipment manufacturing and new materials development. The expanded scope is intended to align the corporate structure more closely with the company’s activities in waste conversion technology and circular raw materials.
Niutech positions itself as an integrated supplier covering technology development, equipment manufacturing, project implementation and operational support for industrial pyrolysis projects.
Company focuses on continuous pyrolysis for multiple waste streams
Niutech says its continuous pyrolysis technology can process more than 30 types of waste, including end-of-life tires, waste plastics, oily sludge, tar residues, medical waste and biomass.
Depending on the feedstock, the systems produce outputs including pyrolysis oil, solid carbon-rich material and non-condensable combustible gas. For tire recycling applications, recovered carbon black and tire-derived oil are among the main products targeted for higher-value industrial use.
New-generation line exceeds 100 tonnes per day per unit
Niutech says its latest large-scale continuous intelligent pyrolysis line can process more than 100 tonnes of material per day per unit. The company is positioning the technology for industrial-scale projects requiring continuous operation, higher throughput and automated process control.
The new generation of equipment is intended to improve capacity, energy efficiency, operating cost and product quality compared with smaller or more conventional pyrolysis systems.
Recovered carbon black targeted for return to tire manufacturing
For waste tire applications, Niutech says its process can produce recovered carbon black with toluene transmittance above 80%. The company describes this as a route toward producing higher-grade carbon material suitable for further processing and potential reuse in tire manufacturing.
Improving recovered carbon black quality is important for tire-to-tire recycling because tire manufacturers require consistent physical and chemical properties before recycled carbon materials can substitute part of virgin carbon black in demanding rubber compounds.
Pyrolysis oil remains another key circular product
Niutech is also working to extend the value chain for tire pyrolysis oil. Rather than limiting the product to fuel applications, the company is exploring cleaner upgrading pathways and potential blending routes connected with sustainable aviation fuel production.
Higher-value chemical and refinery applications for tire-derived oil are becoming increasingly important for tire pyrolysis operators seeking to improve project economics and integrate recovered hydrocarbons into circular industrial supply chains.
Hesheng Environmental Protection expands to 160,000 tonnes per year
Niutech highlighted the development of Hesheng Environmental Protection, its majority-owned subsidiary in China. The facility was commissioned in 2013 and has operated for more than a decade.
In 2026, a 100,000-tonne Phase II expansion is expected to raise total annual processing capacity to 160,000 tonnes. Niutech also says Hesheng was the first company in its sector to obtain ISCC certification.
International projects remain central to growth strategy
Niutech says its technology has been deployed in dozens of countries, including Germany, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Denmark and Brazil. The company has supplied industrial projects at tens-of-thousands-of-tonnes scale and is increasingly targeting markets with stricter environmental and circular economy requirements.
In 2025, a UK customer signed an order worth RMB 198 million for a 60,000-tonne-per-year waste plastic pyrolysis line after evaluating Niutech projects against alternative international technologies.
European regulation supports chemical recycling demand
Niutech links growing interest in continuous pyrolysis with regulatory developments including the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation and new End-of-Life Vehicles rules.
These policies are increasing pressure on manufacturers to incorporate recycled raw materials and establish more circular material flows, potentially strengthening demand for chemical recycling technologies capable of processing difficult waste streams.
Restructuring supports broader circular economy positioning
The completed group restructuring indicates that Niutech is positioning itself beyond equipment manufacturing alone. By formally expanding into resource recycling technology, new materials and machinery development, the company is seeking to participate across a larger portion of the chemical recycling value chain.
For the tire recycling sector, Niutech’s strategy centers on scaling continuous pyrolysis, improving recovered carbon black quality, developing higher-value tire pyrolysis oil markets and supplying larger industrial projects capable of integrating end-of-life tires into circular raw material systems.
