The Recykl Group – a tire recycling company from Poland – led by President Maciej Jasiewicz, has launched a significant relief initiative for flood victims in Głuchołazy, Poland, building on its history of humanitarian support, including prior aid for Ukraine. Through the “#PrzedsiębiorcyPowodzianom” initiative, Recykl has contributed both financial and material aid as part of a broader campaign that has raised PLN 123 million.

Recykl’s response to the Głuchołazy floods included direct logistical support with specialized equipment, such as a backhoe loader and a low-bed transport, to help clear approximately 900 tons of flood debris. The company’s team collaborated with local coordinators like Piotr Wierzbicki and retired firefighter Jan Ziobro to streamline clean-up operations in affected towns.

Beyond debris removal, Recykl’s drivers and operators worked closely with local officials, firefighters, and the Territorial Defense Forces to support community recovery efforts. Alongside local leaders, Recykl employees also assisted in constructing temporary infrastructure, including a bridge, by supplying essential building materials. The Group’s involvement extended over multiple weeks, with workers remaining on-site at the request of coordinators, residing at local accommodations alongside other aid personnel. Recykl committed vehicles and drivers throughout the period to assist in ongoing clean-up and recovery tasks.

The aid operation has been extensive: in the first week alone, Recykl’s drivers collected 90 containers of flood waste and delivered 10 containers of aggregate for temporary bridge construction. The following week saw the removal of 51 additional waste containers and further deliveries of aggregate to support critical infrastructure repair. With a total of 5,600 cubic meters of flood debris and 400 cubic meters of aggregate removed, Recykl continues to aid the Głuchołazy community. The Group has pledged to maintain its support, both financially and materially, as part of its ongoing commitment to disaster relief and community resilience.
