Pyrum Innovations AG – a German end-of-life tire pyrolysis operator – has completed its first MaxCap test, running at full capacity at its new plant in Dillingen/Saar.

Between September 27 and October 4, the TAD 3 line was gradually brought to 100% throughput, maintaining peak operation for a week. While solid output met 100% capacity, oil and gas production reached 95% due to a quench pump blockage, an issue mitigated in future tests by using a reserve pump.

CEO Pascal Klein expressed satisfaction with the test results, noting that the plant’s efficiency exceeded the initial ramp-up plan, which anticipated a six-month, 80% capacity target. A MaxCap test for the TAD 2 line will follow within the next two weeks, with the goal of achieving full capacity across both oil and gas production lines by year-end 2024.
