At the Future of Retreading and Recycling Conference conducted at Autopromotec on in May 2022, industry professionals highlighted numerous noteworthy tire recycling and retreading topics. Italian Autopromotec, a trade show for the automobile aftermarket that increasingly incorporates recycling, was one of the biggest and most informative events of late spring 2022.

The panel's presentations were given by Federico Dossena (Ecopneus), who discussed the plans for recycling in Italy, Claus Lamer (Weibold), who provided an overview of the chemical recycling of end-of-life tires and Dario Andreani (Sustrend), who discussed his T-phite, a graphite developed from recovered Carbon Black. The panel was introduced by David Wilson, the publisher of Tyre and Rubber Recycling.
