Rosehill's innovative ballistic rubber blocks: success in blast testing for unyielding defense
A few weeks ago, Rosehill Security team conducted extensive blast testing on its solid rubber Ballistic Blocks at a military testing facility in Europe. The rigorous process involved configuring different setups with the Ballistic Blocks and placing 81mm mortar rounds at distances ranging from 20cm to 2 meters.
The mortars were remotely detonated to assess how well the Ballistic Blocks resisted high-impact blasts. After detonation, a thorough examination revealed that the blocks effectively absorbed all shrapnel, preventing any penetration.
This testing reaffirms Rosehill’s dedication to ensuring the highest quality and reliability of its Ballistic Blocks, ensuring robust defense and protection.
Certified to the European standard BS EN 1522/23 FB6, Rosehill’s Ballistic Blocks are proven to withstand bullets up to 5.56x45mm SS109 and 7.62x51mm NATO rounds, ensuring optimal protection. Their unique interlocking design allows for quick installation and removal, creating sturdy structures without additional support. This versatility makes them suitable for various defensive structures like sagars, guard huts, and reinforced walls.
Constructed from 100% recycled rubber and polyurethane, our Ballistic Blocks combine strength with flexibility. They efficiently absorb projectiles and fragments, minimizing the risks of ricochet, rebound, and bullet fragmentation, thereby enhancing safety and security in various defensive applications.
Rosehill conducted this test with its Danish partners, Damasec Physical Protection Systems.
