Scandinavian Enviro Systems (Enviro) has received approval from the Gothenburg District Court to extend its ongoing company reorganization by another three months, moving the deadline to November 27, 2026. Enviro has been under reorganization since February 27 as it works to restructure its finances and establish a more sustainable long-term operating model around its tire recycling technology. The latest court decision follows an initial extension granted in June and reflects the court’s assessment that Enviro has presented a draft reorganization plan, secured financing for that plan and taken sufficient additional measures to justify continuation of the process. The company now intends to ask the court to begin formal plan negotiations, after which affected parties will be grouped and given an opportunity to vote on the proposed reorganization plan. Despite the financial restructuring, Enviro says commercial interest in its technology remains strong, including potential licensing arrangements and other forms of cooperation.

Reorganization extended until November 27

Enviro entered company reorganization on February 27, 2026, following approval by the Gothenburg District Court. On June 30, the court granted a first extension that allowed the process to continue through August 27.

The latest ruling provides a second extension of three months and allows the reorganization to continue until November 27, 2026.

Court cites draft plan and secured financing

According to Enviro, the Gothenburg District Court concluded that exceptional grounds exist for extending the reorganization. The court cited the company’s draft reorganization plan, secured financing for the plan and other measures already taken during the restructuring process.

These factors are central to the continuation of a formal company reorganization because the company must demonstrate that there is a realistic basis for completing the restructuring rather than merely extending the process without progress.

Enviro preparing for formal plan negotiations

Enviro said it intends to request that the District Court initiate plan negotiations as soon as possible and establish a date for the formal plan hearing.

During that process, affected parties will be divided into groups and given an opportunity to vote on whether the proposed reorganization plan should be adopted. Enviro said details of the hearing and participation instructions will be published once the court sets the date.

Debt settlement proposal already published

The company has previously released a proposed reorganization plan that includes a debt settlement, together with information explaining how the plan and settlement would be financed.

Enviro has made the complete plan and related financing information available through its corporate website as it works toward the next stage of the restructuring process.

CEO says technology interest remains strong

Enviro CEO Fredrik Aaben said the court decision gives the company additional time to complete the reorganization and build a financially stronger industrial business. He said Enviro has already taken several important steps and is continuing work toward a long-term sustainable structure.

Aaben also said interest in Enviro’s technology remains strong, both for licensing and other forms of collaboration. The company continues to position its patented process as a technology for recovering valuable raw materials from end-of-life tires and other discarded products.

Reorganization process faces statutory time limits

Under the rules described by Enviro, a company reorganization may normally continue for no more than one year unless the District Court has already ordered formal plan negotiations.

If plan negotiations have been ordered, the process must instead end no later than 15 months after the original decision to begin the reorganization. The timetable therefore gives Enviro a defined period in which to finalize and seek approval for its restructuring plan.

Tire recycling technology remains core of Enviro strategy

Scandinavian Enviro Systems develops patented technology for recovering raw materials from end-of-life tires. Its process produces recovered carbon black and other materials that can be returned to industrial value chains.

The company states that using carbon black recovered through its technology in new tire production can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 93% compared with virgin carbon black. The claim is specific to Enviro’s technology and comparison methodology.

Restructuring remains critical to future expansion

The court extension gives Enviro more time to complete a financial restructuring while continuing discussions around licensing, industrial partnerships and commercialization of its tire recycling technology.

The next major step will be formal plan negotiations and the subsequent vote by affected parties. Approval of the reorganization plan would be an important milestone in determining Enviro’s financial structure and its ability to continue developing recovered carbon black and other circular raw material projects.
