As the Biden Administration continues to coordinate the implementation of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA), joined by 15 stakeholder organizations sent a joint letter highlighting available technologies to support national infrastructure improvements: rubber modified asphalt and tire derived aggregate. The letter outlined the benefits of these materials and identified the specific provisions within the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law where these materials would qualify for consideration.

Renowned Danish manufacturer of tire recycling equipment, ELDAN Recycling A/S, presented test set-up for pre-cut mining tire recycling. The shredder plant or the c-plant as it is called in-house, consisting of an ELDAN Super Chopper and an ELDAN Multi Purpose Rasper with a feeding silo in front to ensure a continuous flow. Synthos announces that its collaboration with Swiss company Tyre Recycling Solutions (TRS) is progressing according to plan as it obtained a minority stake in the successful scale-up company following the acquisition of Trinseo's synthetic rubber business at the end of 2021. In addition to the progress Synthos and TRS have made together in the marketplace, resulting in approvals with global tyre manufacturers and initial commercial sales for tyre applications, Synthos and TRS have seen a sharp increase in interest in TyreXol™ recycled rubber.
