Signus cuts its tire recycling fee by 3,55 percent in 2019
Spainish tire recycling authority Signus is reducing tire recycling fee by 3,55 percent since January this year – the decision was made during the budget approval by the Board of Directors for the new financial year.
Therefore, the fee for a passenger vehicle tire will become € 1.24 instead of € 1.28, and the recycling fee for a truck tire changes to € 9,20 from € 9,57.
The price changes can be observed in most of the tire categories ranging from A to E6. During the meeting, the Board of Directors also raised an issue of anti-dumping measures introduced by the European Union for tires imported in Europe from China. Following this move, the companies faced challenges regarding management costs, the analysis of “Big data” and control of the unsanctioned collection activities.
At the same time, the market players will still be concerned in 2019 with promoting environment-friendly recycling practices which will be in line with circular economy in order to secure a positive impact on society and the environment that would go well beyond just the obligatory compliance with responsibilities of the business.
