Spanish TNU introduces new end-of-life tire management fees effective March 2026
Spanish Tratamiento Neumáticos Usados, SL (TNU) has announced the approval and publication of new end-of-life tire management fees, which will come into effect on March 1, 2026. This adjustment responds to the increase in management costs and aims to guarantee the necessary financial resources for the system to meet its extended producer responsibility obligations.

Over the past few months, TNU managers had been requesting a price update, in line with the increased costs experienced in the sector. In compliance with Article 14 of Royal Decree 712/2025 of August 26, TNU forwarded these requests to its member producers, who decided to adjust the tariffs to ensure adequate funding and compliance with regulatory objectives.
Similarly, the producers have agreed to subdivide the F2S class tariff (50 to 100 kg) into F2S1 (50 to 75 kg) and F2S2 (75 to 100 kg) , with the aim of achieving better modulation in accordance with the management cost of this type of tire.
Following the producers' decision, the TNU Board of Directors, at its meeting on February 3, 2026 , approved the new tariffs. This adjustment is not a linear change, as the specific costs of each category have been taken into account.
The new rates , which you can view here, will come into effect and apply from March 1, 2026. For more information, please visit the TNU website (www.tnu.es).
