The 31st ETRA conference on tyre recycling: call for papers
The European Tyre Recycling Association (ETRA) has announced the call for papers for its 31st Annual Conference on Tyre Recycling, which will take place from 24–26 March 2026 in Brussels.
The conference theme, "Tyre Recycling: Is the Future Circular?", will explore industry priorities and the expanding opportunities for recycled tyre materials in both established and emerging markets. The programme will examine how the sector is evolving amid shifting EU policy dynamics and broader economic and industrial pressures.
Following the appointment of the new EU Commission in 2025, green objectives have become less prominent within policy frameworks. However, the underlying principles of sustainability and circularity have already been widely internalised by society and industry. Companies and citizens increasingly recognise the logic and long-term benefits of circular economy approaches, even as objectives and timelines are adjusted.
Plenary sessions and dedicated innovation spotlights will address key industry trends, funding mechanisms and EU-supported projects. With more than 100 delegates expected from across the public and private sectors, the conference is positioned as a key forum for professionals working in tyre recycling and related value chains.
Abstract submissions are open until 10 February 2026.
Further details and registration information are available via the ETRA Conference website.
