Formed in 2005, the Tire Industry Project (TIP) is a voluntary, CEO-driven initiative with a mission to anticipate, understand, and address global environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues relevant to the tire industry and its value chain.

TIP has launched an Open Call for Projects (OCP) as an opportunity to engage scientists and innovators working on research that is aligned with TIP’s key objectives and can contribute to advancing sustainability practices and environmental stewardship within the tire industry. This initiative will select and provide financial support to projects showing the highest degree of innovation and feasibility with regard to the assessment and measurement of tire wear emissions, i.e. the material produced during the use phase of a tire.

The technical expert will be part of an evaluation committee that will be tasked with the detailed review of received submissions and with the provision of technical assessments that will inform the shortlisting of proposals.

He/she will evaluate part of the submissions received alone. He/she will support other evaluators in technical domains where they have less expertise and will have the possibility to ask other evaluators in technical domains where they have more expertise. He/she will review all submissions with the other experts to align in terms of overall level of demand.

Deadline for application: November 20, 2025.
