According to Tokai Carbon Co., Ltd., the company has completed the acquisition of Bridgestone Carbon Black (Thailand) Co., Ltd. from Bridgestone Corporation and Asahi Carbon Co., Ltd., marking a strategic expansion of its carbon black business in Southeast Asia. The transaction, valued at approximately THB 2.05 billion (USD 56 million), was finalized on September 30, 2025.

Following completion, the acquired company has been renamed Thai Tokai Carbon Product Rojana Co., Ltd., and Tatsuhiko Yamazaki, Tokai Carbon’s Executive Officer, has been appointed as its Managing Director. Ownership of the company is now split between Thai Tokai Carbon Product Co., Ltd. (99%) and Tokai Carbon Co., Ltd. (1%), with the business becoming a consolidated subsidiary of Tokai Carbon.

Tokai Carbon stated that the acquisition enhances its production capacity and regional supply network, strengthening its position in the global carbon black market. The company noted that the financial impact of the acquisition on its 2025 consolidated performance is under review, with further updates to be disclosed as necessary.

This acquisition follows Tokai Carbon’s broader strategy to expand its footprint in Asia and reinforce its portfolio in carbon black materials used across the tire, rubber, and industrial sectors.
