TSA becomes member of influential global body that studies scrap tire rubber use
Tyre Stewardship Australia (TSA) that constantly searches applications for scrap tires now serves as a member of the International Rubber Study Group (IRSG) – an important informational body with connections to the rubber industry and international governmental authorities. IRSG currently comprises over 100 members from 36 countries.
The group is involved in discussion of the matters influencing natural and synthetic rubbers, according to IRSG Secretary-General Salvatore Pinizzotto who welcomed TSA into his association.
Joining IRSG will provide TSA with better understanding of global trends that influence scrap tires in Australia, according to TSA CEO.
Tyre Stewardship Australia was created by key tire importers and is led by the industry with an aim to find applications for scrap tires. At present, Australia uses some 10 percent out of over 55 million scrap tires to produce valuable products in equestrian segments, for road constructions etc.
