This milestone event will reflect on three decades of progress and explore future opportunities driven by innovation and EU-supported initiatives.

Over the years, recycled tyre materials — rubber, steel, and textile fibres — have found applications in roads, sports surfaces, construction, and infrastructure. While some markets, like sports, have flourished, others, such as public works, still require stronger demand. With natural rubber now classified as a Critical Raw Material, tyre manufacturers are increasingly considering recovered carbon black, fine rubber powder, and devulcanized rubber for future applications.
The conference will address key industry challenges:
- Wednesday’s Plenary Sessions will explore critical topics such as EOL tyre availability, the Green Deal, EU policy adjustments, and the role of recyclates in tyre manufacturing.
- Tuesday’s Workshop will foster collaboration between Public Administrations and EU-funded projects.
- Thursday’s Sessions will highlight advanced recycling technologies, including pyrolysis, and explore EU funding opportunities.
With networking receptions and informal discussions, the ETRA Conference remains a key platform for stakeholders shaping the future of tyre recycling.
