Eco Infinic reports key construction milestones at Sriracha Expansion
SRIRACHA, THAILAND — Eco Infinic has reached key construction milestones in the expansion of its tire recycling facility in Sriracha, Chonburi. The project, supported by a THB 1.375 billion Board of Investment (BOI) approval, remains on track as civil works progress toward commissioning in 2027. Once completed, the expansion will double the company's processing capacity, with the integrated operation expected to process up to 20 million end-of-life tires (ELTs) per year and produce 60,000 MT of recovered carbon black (rCB), 70,000 MT of tire pyrolysis oil (TPO), and 36,000 MT of recycled steel annually.

While Eco Infinic's initial announcements detailed the broad goals of its circular economy model, the current site development highlights a story of low-impact, highly precise engineering that is currently moving ahead of schedule. On-site progress has moved swiftly through its initial civil phases: land backfilling is 100% complete, while crucial piling works have reached 40% overall. Notably, the critical structural footprint for the core Pyrolysis and Shredding building is already 80% piled, allowing foundation and civil construction to advance to 10% as the site transitions smoothly into its building phase.

This physical framework is custom-built to house next-generation clean-energy innovations, replacing traditional processing with a state-of-the-art Electric pyrolysis system. Civil works are tracking across a strict two-phase timeline: the main Pyrolysis and Shredding building is slated for physical completion in October 2026, followed by the completion of all supporting facilities in Q1 2027. This sets a clear runway for system commissioning in Q2 2027, with the entire expanded footprint achieving full commercial operation by Q3 2027.
True to Eco Infinic's "Building for the Planet" ethos, sustainable closed-loop utility systems are being integrated parallel to the manufacturing floor. Engineering teams have upgraded an on-site 5.00 MW synthetic gas power generation unit on their current site with plans to expand an additional 5.00 MW to the new facility. By capturing, filtering, and recycling the internal gases produced during the tire transformation process, this self-sustaining power unit will cleanly supply 50% of the entire plant’s required energy consumption. This smart recycling loop drastically minimizes the facility's carbon footprint and lightens the load on the regional Chonburi municipal power grid.

Furthermore, guarding regional ecosystem health remains an absolute priority for the expansion project. The plant infrastructure is integrating an automated continuous dust monitoring system directly into its ventilation lines to eliminate air particulate risks. To complement these safeguards, Eco Infinic is currently exploring the integration of an advanced AI environmental monitoring system. This digital framework is designed to continuously track environmental metrics, guaranteeing absolute transparency and ensuring zero odors, zero noise pollution, and zero erratic emissions reach the neighboring Sriracha communities.
