End-of-Life Tyre Research Portal enhances user experience by adding new features
The End-of-Life Tyre Research Portal (ELTRP) has expanded its capabilities with a series of new features aimed at improving access to global research on recycled tyre materials and keeping stakeholders better informed.
Launched in 2023 as the first open, searchable platform dedicated to tyre recycling research, ELTRP brings together international studies covering both material performance and the environmental and health impacts of recycled tyre applications. With a growing database now exceeding 600 research articles, the platform has become an increasingly important resource for researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals.
Among the latest updates is the introduction of a new “Projects” category, which allows users to track ongoing research. By surfacing work still in progress, the feature offers early visibility into emerging findings and technological developments before formal publication.
ELTRP has also launched a subscription function, enabling users to receive email alerts whenever new research or project updates are added. This free service is designed to support continuous knowledge flow across the tyre recycling ecosystem, particularly as innovation and regulatory scrutiny accelerate globally.
The platform’s contribution to the sector was recognised at the Recircle Awards 2025, where it received the Industry Achievement Award for the Tyre Recycling Sector, highlighting its role in advancing transparency, collaboration, and evidence-based decision-making in the circular economy.
