Pyrum Innovations completes assembly of world's largest rCB grinding plant
Pyrum Innovations AG has successfully completed the mechanical assembly of its new grinding plant in Dillingen. Developed by Hosokawa, the jet mill has an input capacity of 1,650 kg/h and an output of 1,350 kg/h, making it the world's largest grinding plant for recovered carbon black (rCB). The process recirculates unused material to minimize waste and enhance efficiency.
This expansion follows the commissioning of two new reactors (TAD 2 & 3) last year and is expected to significantly increase rCB sales. Work on cabling is underway, with operations set to begin in April 2025. Due to its connection with the upcoming pelletizing plant, full production is planned for the third quarter of 2025.
Pascal Klein, CEO of Pyrum Innovations AG, emphasized the significance of this development, stating that the increased capacity will support a more sustainable and circular economy. The remaining pelletizing equipment is en route, with assembly starting soon.
