Recykl Group, Poland’s tire recycling company, has signed its first international M&A deal by acquiring 100% of Lithuania-based UAB Antrinio Perdirbimo Grupė (APG) — the largest end-of-life tire collection and recycling operator in the Baltic states. This strategic move will strengthen Recykl’s raw material security and enhance access to customers across Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. The acquisition aligns with Recykl’s broader plan to expand operations, including the potential future construction of a production plant in Lithuania.

The €3.6 million transaction, partially financed through internal funds and loans, includes staged payments and capital investment into APG. APG has been active for 20 years and has collaborated with Recykl since 2012. The company currently handles around 20,000 tonnes of tires annually and holds an estimated 60% market share in Lithuania.

"After almost a year of analyses and discussions, we are pleased to finalize our first foreign investment project. For us, the acquisition of the Lithuanian company APG not only means higher security in terms of raw material supply, but also creates opportunities to reach new customers faster and build our market position in the region. We will achieve such outlined effects faster and easier with additional investments in the expansion of the collection network, and in the next stages we do not exclude the construction of a full-scale waste tire recycling plant in Lithuania. Our intention is also some unification of the acquired company's business model along the lines of our Polish plants" – says Maciej Jasiewicz, CEO of Recykl Group S.A.
