REVYRE Global Ltd New Zealand and XTYRE Global Pty Ltd, South Africa, have formed a license agreement in order to produce rubber molded products made from recycled end-of-life tires in Oceania.

The New Zealand-based company REVYRE works to identify and invest in cutting-edge sustainable technologies that have a sound positive impact on the environment. In order to develop rubber crumb upcycling processing plants using proprietary technologies in specific territories, REVYRE is currently finalizing a number of exclusive license agreements. Functionally modified polymers for bitumen and the reprocessing of crumb rubber for molded products are REVYRE's two primary manufacturing focus areas.

The South African company XTYRE Global (XTG) upcycles waste rubber from end-of-life tires, transforming it into multiple molded dynamic ranges of everyday products.

REVYRE and XTG have signed a 10-year exclusive manufacturing and sales license for Oceania and ASEAN countries under the name REVYRE Manufacturing New Zealand and Australia. This license grants REVYRE exclusive rights to produce over 200 recycled crumb rubber products, utilizing existing and pending XTG patents and intellectual property. This partnership is one of several for REVYRE, which also includes agreements with Tyromer and RubberJet Valley.

New Zealand is supporting the disposal of end-of-life tires and the use of recycled rubber in local manufacturing operations through the Tyrewise tire stewardship programme, which aims to make local manufacturing competitive and economically viable against cheaper imports, generating significant interest from major retailers.
