Pyrum Innovations AG has scheduled the official groundbreaking ceremony for its new tire recycling plant in Perl-Besch, Germany, for November 14, 2025. The facility, which will be the company's largest to date, is designed to process more than 22,000 tons of end-of-life tires annually and will be fully owned and operated by Pyrum. Once operational, the plant will more than double the company's total recycling capacity.

Pyrum Innovations AG published its consolidated financial results for the first half of 2025, reporting revenue of EUR 1.27 million, up 79% from the same period in 2024. Total output rose 48% to EUR 6.71 million, supported by ongoing investments in the second Pyrum plant in Perl-Besch and commissioning work for new facilities in Dillingen. Capitalized own work reached EUR 5.21 million, compared to EUR 3.61 million a year earlier.

Pyrum Innovations AG (Pyrum) today published its consolidated interim report for the period from 1 January to 31 March 2025. Sales in the first three months totalled EUR 509 thousand, up around 51% on the same period of the previous year (3M 2024: EUR 336 thousand). Own work capitalised amounted to EUR 2,676 thousand (3M 2024: EUR 1,615 thousand) as construction of the plant expansion in Dillingen progressed according to plan. Total output therefore increased by around 55% to EUR 3,365 thousand (3M 2024: EUR 2,177 thousand).

Pyrum GreenFactory II GmbH received approval for the early start of construction of the new Pyrum plant in Perl-Besch. Pyrum GreenFactory II GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pyrum Innovations AG (ISIN: DE000A2G8ZX8), which was founded last year to operate the new Pyrum plant. With the new plant, Pyrum is further expanding its recycling capacities in Saarland – it is already the second own site that the company will build and operate independently.

The company’s earnings and financial position in the 2024 financial year continued to be characterised by investments at the headquarters in Dillingen and orders for system components with long delivery times for the new site in Perl-Besch. The half-year results and the financial position of the company continued to be largely characterised by investments at the company headquarters in Dillingen/Saar and for orders for plant components with long delivery times for the new site in Perl-Besch, as well as investments in personnel expansion and the further development of the organisational structure. In addition, throughput volumes at the rCB pelletising plant were still below target.

On July 30, 2024, Pyrum Innovations AG (Pyrum) and Continental signed a framework agreement for the long-term purchase of Pyrum’s recovered Carbon Black (rCB). The agreement covers the rCB purchase quantities for at least two Pyrum plants, with a term of ten years. Continental will also supply Pyrum with end-of-life tires. In addition, Continental has agreed to make an advance payment for future rCB deliveries.

Last week, the municipal council of Perl voted on the amendment to the development plan for the site of the new plant of Pyrum Innovations AG (Pyrum) and approved the amendment to the articles of association and thus the new development plan by a majority. Accordingly, only the construction of a tyre thermolysis plant of Pyrum GreenFactory II GmbH was approved on the property. Furthermore, the implementation agreement between the municipality of Perl and Pyrum Innovations AG was signed, which, among other things, stipulates the forest compensation areas for the building site. All comments from authorities, public bodies and the local population were also discussed and taken into account.

On March 28, Pyrum Innovations AG (Pyrum) published its trading update for Q4 2023 and preliminary figures for the full year 2023. According to the company's press release, sales increased by 17% year-on-year to EUR 1,147 thousand (2022: EUR 982 thousand). Pyrum is currently focusing on improving the throughput of the agglomeration plant for further processing the recovered carbon black (rCB) and the new tyre shredding plant. The aim is to achieve greater sales increases in the future.
