HANWA THAILAND CO., LTD., a subsidiary of HANWA CO., LTD., has made a partial investment in PYRO ENERGIE CO., LTD., a tire pyrolysis recycling company based in Thailand. Globally, large volumes of end-of-life tires and off-spec products from tire manufacturing continue to pose environmental challenges, including illegal dumping and landfilling. While HANWA Group currently supplies tire chips as a low-impact energy source to industrial users in Japan, pyrolysis has become a leading recycling method in international markets.

Pirelli has launched the first standard production tyre for the global market made with over 70% bio-based and recycled materials, including FSC™ (Forest Stewardship Council™) -certified natural rubber. This certification attests to the responsible management of the natural rubber supply chain, from plantation to factory. By 2026, all natural rubber used in Pirelli's European factories will be FSC™-certified.

Murfitts Industries and tyre giant Michelin have announced a project to process old tyres, recovering the energy and materials within them. As part of the project, Murfitts, the UK’s largest tyre recycling company, has submitted plans to set up a tyre reprocessing site at Michelin’s Stoke-on-Trent premises. The “cutting-edge” process developed by Murfitts will reportedly generate energy which will be used to power Michelin’s production on site, thereby lowering CO2 emissions from the factory by 1,500 tonnes per year. In addition to the energy recovered, the process will also produce recovered carbon black (rCB) and tyre pyrolysis oil (TPO).

Contec S.A. has announced the successful deliveries of multiple shipments of tire pyrolysis oil (ConPyro®) to Orion S.A. (NYSE: OEC), marking a significant early milestone in the long-term collaboration between the two companies. These initial shipments were made possible by processing significant quantities of end-of-life tires using Contec’s proprietary Molten® technology.

Scandinavian Enviro Systems (Enviro) CEO Fredrik Emilson and CFO Fredrik Aaben have subscribed to a total of 8,908,844 additional shares in Enviro's recently concluded rights issue. In total, they have now subscribed to nearly 13 million shares in the company's issue. The recently concluded rights issue strengthens Enviro's cash position with a total of SEK 240 million before issuing costs.
