Tyre Recycling Solutions (TRS) – an innovative tire recycling company from Switzerland – announced the official inauguration of the new TyreXol™ MMA production line at facilities of Renecal, in Guardo (Palencia, Spain).   TRS' team expressed its deep gratitude to local authorities from Junta de Castilla y León´Government, Diputación de Palencia (Council of Palencia), Ministry of Environment and Municipality of Guardo, as well as all the guests for attending this event and sharing the milestone of a common project between TRS and Renecal, its recycling partner.

On the 20th of September 2022, Pyrum Innovations AG (Pyrum), a pioneer in the sustainable recycling of end-of-life tyres (ELT) based on its patented pyrolysis technology, and UNITANK Betriebs- und Verwaltungs GmbH (UNITANK), an operator of tank terminals, intend to jointly build and operate pyrolysis plants as part of a joint venture. The two companies agreed on this matter in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). According to the MoU, a total of up to ten pyrolysis plants for recycling ELT is to be built in the EU by 2030. The first plant is to be constructed in Germany. Pyrum and UNITANK want to make a final decision on the exact location by the end of the current year. The final investment decision is to be made in 2023, with commercial operation of the first plant starting 24 months later, i.e. probably towards the end of 2025.

6PPD is an antioxidant and antiozonant that helps prevent the degradation and cracking of rubber compounds caused by exposure to oxygen, ozone and temperature fluctuation. 6PPD is used industry wide to help tires resist degradation and cracking, which is vital for driver and passenger safety. Antioxidants support increased tire endurance. There are no known alternatives to 6PPD that provide the same safety and performance characteristics in a tire.

With the extension of the Shredpax Shredder Division into the repair and service of used shredders, the GRE or Global Recycling Equipment Group, which is controlled by the Burda Trust of Canada, has stated that it has expanded further into the multi-branding of shredders.

The company has launched its Cutter Sales Division which will deliver new and rebuilt cutters for up to 30 percent faster lead times. The new Saturn Cutter Division now provides legacy customers of dual- and quad-shaft industrial Saturn shredders with replacement rebuilt cutter blades, including spacers or brand new blades.

CM Shredders – one of the leading tire recycling equipment manufacturers worldwide – announced recently the installation of a new state-of-the-art, high-capacity automated tire shredding system for its customer Southeastern Public Service Authority (SPSA) in Suffolk, Virginia, USA. According to CM’s press release, the new system, which can process end-of-life car, truck and light OTR tires, features CM's brand new HT-250 Hybrid Primary Shredder integrated with a high-volume automatic infeed system. According to CM, the system’s capacity reached 30 tons per hour during runoff tests.

According to its latest press release, Ecolomondo Corporation – a Canadian cleantech company specializing in the commercialization of its Thermal Decomposition Process (TDP) proprietary recycling technology and building and operating turnkey TDP facilities globally – announced that it has secured an offtake agreement for up to 80% of its Recovered Carbon Black (rCB) production from the Company’s Hawkesbury TDP facility.
