Pyrum Innovations AG published its consolidated financial results for the first half of 2025, reporting revenue of EUR 1.27 million, up 79% from the same period in 2024. Total output rose 48% to EUR 6.71 million, supported by ongoing investments in the second Pyrum plant in Perl-Besch and commissioning work for new facilities in Dillingen. Capitalized own work reached EUR 5.21 million, compared to EUR 3.61 million a year earlier.

Pyrum Innovations AG (Pyrum) and the bicycle tyre manufacturer Ralf Bohle GmbH (brand: “Schwalbe”) have concluded a framework agreement for the long-term purchase of Pyrum’s recovered Carbon Black (rCB). The agreement covers the purchase of rCB at a fixed price for a term of ten years. This is already the second framework agreement of this scope that Pyrum has been able to conclude, in addition to the one with Continental. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. Schwalbe’s supply of bicycle tyres to Pyrum will also be further expanded in this context.

The Czech companies SUAS GROUP and Sokolovská uhelná, in coöperation with Pyrum (ISIN DE000A2G8ZX8), are planning to build a tyre recycling plant at their Vřesová complex. The project results from the existing consulting and engineering contract between the companies, which was concluded with a subsidiary of the SUAS GROUP, and relates to the planned plant in the Czech Republic. The Czech companies plan to utilise the synergy effects on site and will integrate the gas produced during thermolysis into the existing plant for further utilisation. The planned plant will convert 23,000 tonnes of end-of-life tyres into valuable resources every year. The planned investment volume is CZK 1.4 billion (approx. EUR 57 million).

Pyrum Innovations AG, in collaboration with Schwalbe, has reached a significant milestone in their tire recycling program, with 1,000,000 bicycle tires successfully collected, recycled, and reintroduced into the material cycle. This achievement highlights the effective partnership between the two companies in advancing sustainable solutions within the circular economy.

One year after bicycle tyre manufacturer Schwalbe introduced the world’s first circular tyre using the Pyrum rCB, the use of rCBs in tyre production is being massively expanded. From now on, 70% of all Schwalbe tyres will be made of Pyrum rCB. Pyrum takes over the recycling of the tyres in the recycling system. The recovered carbon black is returned to Schwalbe to produce new bicycle tyres. The rCB replaces 100% of fossil carbon black in the production of new bicycle tyres without compromising on quality and at the same time saves 80% CO₂ equivalent. Thanks to the wide range of possible applications, rCB is now also used in Schwalbe’s high-end tyres for road, gravel and mountain bikes as well as in city and cargo bikes.

The Schwalbe Recycling System has won the Innovators Prize at Eurobike. In the Service & Service Solutions category, Schwalbe's innovative and holistic recycling system for used bicycle tires beat out a total of 17 other entries.

Pyrum Innovations AG (Pyrum), a pioneering company that recycles end-of-life tires sustainably with its globally patented, unique pyrolysis technology, and the bicycle tire manufacturer Ralf Bohle GmbH (Schwalbe brand) have developed the world's first bicycle tire made from recycled tires. Pyrum's Green Marathon uses 100% recycled carbon black (rCB), which is a direct product of the recycling process and replaces fossil carbon black. The production of the innovative bicycle tire saves more than a third of CO2eQ compared to the previous model. To determine the CO2 savings, a detailed Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) of both models was calculated and evaluated according to the current IPCC AR6 standard (GWP 100, excl. biogenic CO2).

Pyrum Innovations AG ("Pyrum"), a pioneer in the sustainable recycling of end-of-life tyres (ELT) based on its patented pyrolysis technology, has further expanded its cooperation network. In a pilot project with the BMW Group, Pyrum has recently began recycling the used tyres of the BMW Group branch in Saarland. The pilot project was preceded by an audit in which topics such as occupational safety and fire protection, permits and environmental requirements were examined. German end-of-life tire pyrolysis operator Pyrum Innovations AG (Pyrum) has started series delivery of recovered carbon black (rCB) to Ralf Bohle GmbH, manufacturer of German bicycle tire brand Schwalbe. According to Pyrum, the delivery will close the loop “completely” for Schwalbe, which collects end-of-life tires through its recently launched recycling system and supplies them to Pyrum for further processing.
