The Tire and Rubber Association of Canada has recently announced the appointment of Carol Hochu as incoming President & CEO. Ms. Hochu brings a lifetime of experience and successful track record of leading Canadian associations and non-profit organizations. Most recently, she led the Canadian Plastics Industry Association as President and CEO for nearly a decade, and prior to that she served as Executive Director of the Ontario Electronic Stewardship. As an accomplished association executive, in all her past roles Ms. Hochu served as a passionate industry advocate who successfully raised industry profiles and advanced important industry issues with key stakeholders, influencers, and government; and she expertly navigates all aspects of association management, including government, member and public relations.

The Tire and Rubber Association of Canada (TRAC) announced that its preeminent biennial Rubber Recycling Symposium will take place October 4-5 at the Lord Nelson Hotel in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The Tire and Rubber Association of Canada (TRAC) announced the speakers for its highly anticipated 2023 Rubber Recycling Symposium which will take place on October 4-5 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. “This year’s event is going to be one for the books. The End-of-Life Tyre Management Companies and Other Businesses Focused on Sustainability were recognized by the Tire and Rubber Association of Canada as exceptional individuals and businesses for their devotion and commitment to excellence in the tyre and rubber industry.

On March 2, the Tire and Rubber Association of Canada (TRAC; www.tracanada.ca) announced that the nominations for its 2023 Industry Leadership Awards are now open. The nominations are open until April 21, 2023, in four categories: Leader of the Year, Young Leader, Lifetime Achievement, and Sustainability. Anyone can nominate a deserving individual or organization (self-nominations are no longer accepted). Corporate nominees must have a physical presence, e.g., office or facility, in Canada. Nominated individuals can be domiciled anywhere. The awards ceremony will take place in conjunction with TRAC’s Annual General Meeting of Members on June 14, 2023.
