An investment of over $11 million in total has been allocated to more than 30 groups and 9 companies in California to advance reuse of old tires. The money distributed in grants became available thanks to CalRecycle and its three tire programs, including the one focusing on rubberized pavement, and one more – on tire-derived aggregates.

The Recycled Rubber Coalition in Washington unveiled a white paper "An Unexpected Electric Vehicle Environmental Problem With Common Sense Solutions". It examines how the growing adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) will lead to a surge in scrap tires and proposes practical recycling solutions. Comprising organizations and companies in rubber recycling, the coalition stresses the urgent need for effective government policies to support the expansion of recycled rubber markets.

The event will become a perfect platform uniting tire and rubber industry professionals from all over the world. Experts representing all layers of the industry, as well as state authorities and scholars will share their perspectives on the state of affairs for tire recycling. They will also shed light on sustainability and what drives producers towards circular economy models, touch upon topics of tire-derived fuel, tire-derived aggregate, rubberized asphalt, ensuring safety at tire recycling plants, etc.
