With the assistance of Monitor via Modular Finance, Scandinavian Enviro Systems (Enviro) has prepared a register of the 15 largest owners of the company as of June 30, 2023. Following the directed share issue in May, the company’s new owners include Handelsbanken Fonder, Swedbank Robur Fonder and Skandia Fonder. Michelin did not participate in the issue but remains the largest shareholder by a considerable margin with 16.28%.

The oil and carbon black that Scandinavian Enviro Systems (Enviro) recovers from end-of-life vehicle tires in its plant in Åsensbruk have received new certification in accordance with the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC) scheme. Scandinavian Enviro Systems (publ) has appointed Christian Bergaust as the new interim CFO. Bergaust comes most recently from the role of CFO at Alelion Energy Systems and previous assignments include that of CFO at listed Elos Medtech AB. Christian Bergaust took office on November 13 and will work in parallel with the current CFO Staffan Kullberg until he leaves in connection with the report for the third quarter on November 23 in accordance with what was previously announced.

Michelin has produced a new version of its motorcycle racing tire, with an even higher share of environmentally sustainable material ahead of the MotoE World Cup motorcycle racing series. The new version consists of an average of 40% sustainable material, a significant portion of which is recovered carbon black (rCB) supplied by Enviro. At the same time, Michelin has taken another step towards mass production of its tire with improved sustainability performance.

Swedish Tyre Recycling (SDAB) has entered into an agreement to deliver tyre raw material to feed the new tyre pyrolysis plant currently being built in Uddevalla, Sweden by the joint venture between funds managed by Antin Infrastructure Partners and Scandinavian Enviro Systems (Enviro). The plant will utilise the innovative Enviro proprietary technology that allows the production from sorted and processed ELTs (End-of-life tyres) of valuable recovered Carbon Black (rCB) and Pyrolysis Oil in high demand by the industry to create a fully circular supply chain. The strategic agreement between the parties entails the delivery of a significant volume of the annual amount of the ELTs collected in Sweden, with deliveries commencing in 2025.

Scandinavian company Enviro stated that it conducts negotiations with a US company EE-TDF Cleveland LLC, a Denmark-based WindSpace A/S, and a Canada-based enterprise Treadcraft Limited after voicing earlier plans to construct tire recycling facilities that would rely on its patented tire pyrolysis technology. Even though the initial deadline has passed, Enviro says that the chances for realization of these plans remain quite high. The construction has been discussed by the parties for more than a year.
