Efficient management of solid waste is a huge global challenge. In the GCC region (Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE and Oman), where most countries have the highest per capita waste generation across the world, the scale of the challenge faced by civic authorities is even greater.
