Scandinavian Enviro Systems (Enviro) – a Swedish tyre pyrolysis operator and technology supplier – reports that Michelin, the principal owner of Enviro, unveiled tyres with a high proportion of environmentally sustainable materials that have been approved for use on ordinary road vehicles. These include a tyre for buses and a tyre for cars, where the car tyre contains recovered carbon black from Enviro, among other materials.

Pyrum Innovations AG (Pyrum) has received the official state approval notice for the operation of production lines 2 and 3 at its main plant in Dillingen, Saarland. Already three months before the start of the official commissioning, all questions from the authorities could be clarified, so that the operating permit was granted. This is a major milestone for the company, as it means that Pyrum's series plants have been proven to be approvable. Consequently, no official restrictions are expected for future plants.

TNU (Tratamiento Neumáticos Usados) – a Spanish EPR agency for end-of-life tires – reports it will be present in the new edition of Ecofira with its traveling exhibition on tire recycling “Recicla y Sonríe" ("Recycle and Smile"). The exhibition addresses the social, economic and environmental importance of the treatment and recycling of end-of-life tires. Used tires collected annually by TNU are claimed to 100% recycled. When recycled, the components of end-of-life tires: rubber, steel and textile fiber, become materials and energy resources.

Pyrum Innovations AG (Pyrum), one of the pioneers in the sustainable recycling of end-of-life tyres (ELT) based on its patented pyrolysis technology, today published its consolidated financial report for the period from 1 January to 30 June 2022. In the first six months, total output increased almost tenfold compared to the same period of the previous year to EUR 9,196 thousand (H1 2021: EUR 932 thousand). This includes own work capitalised of EUR 8,495 thousand (H1 2021: EUR 519 thousand) resulting from construction progress on production lines 2 and 3 at the company's site in Dillingen, inventory increases to EUR 216 thousand (H1 2021: EUR 15 thousand) as well as increased sales.
