Van Dyck, affiliated with the tire recycler Mathe Group, has achieved Global GreenTag certification for its rubber flooring products, marking a milestone in sustainable manufacturing. The certification is particularly significant given Van Dyck's connection to the tire recycling industry, as the company produces rubber flooring from recycled materials, including those derived from end-of-life tires.

Véronique Giraud, CEO of Continental Tires France, has been elected President of ALIAPUR, France's leading end-of-life tire (ELT) collection service, starting August 1, 2024. Giraud has been with Continental since 1999, holding various senior roles, including Managing Director of Continental Tires China, before taking over the French division on July 1, 2024.

Trederra announced an exclusive supply agreement with Tyre Recycling Solutions (TRS) of Switzerland supporting the production of Trederra™ footwear outsoles made from end-of-life tires. TRS will supply Trederra with CT-50 rubber powder which is manufactured using the patented TRS Water Pulse® technology, a proprietary and highly specialized water-jet system that pulverizes tire tread into fine powder. This powder is derived from 100% end-of-life tires diverted from landfills and is free from steel and synthetic fibers.

Hankook Tire & Technology has released its 2023/24 ESG Report, detailing the company’s sustainable management activities and long-term strategies. Now in its 15th edition, the report focuses on three main areas: Eco Value Chain, Sustainable Product, and Responsible Engagement, all under the company’s vision of "Innovation for a Sustainable Future." Key achievements include a significant focus on carbon reduction. In August 2023, Hankook Tire became the first tire company in Korea to have its carbon reduction targets approved by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). The company aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 46.2% from manufacturing and 27% across its value chain by 2030, with the ultimate goal of reaching Net Zero by 2050.

The South African Tyre Manufacturers Conference (SATMC), representing the four multinational tire manufacturers with plants in South Africa, has been appointed to the Waste Tire Management Industry Advisory Committee, led by Minister of Forestry, Fisheries, and the Environment, Dr. Dion George. SATMC Managing Executive, Nduduzo Chala, will serve as vice-chair, alongside Charl de Villers from the Tyre Importers Association of South Africa (TIASA) as chair.

Pyrum Innovations AG, in collaboration with Schwalbe, has reached a significant milestone in their tire recycling program, with 1,000,000 bicycle tires successfully collected, recycled, and reintroduced into the material cycle. This achievement highlights the effective partnership between the two companies in advancing sustainable solutions within the circular economy.

As the construction of the Uddevalla recycling plant continues, Scandinavian Enviro Systems AB (publ) has released a half-year report. Second quarter 2024: Net revenues for the period were MSEK 58.5(3.6) Earnings after tax for the period were MSEK 30.5 (-25.3) Earnings per share for the period (before dilution) was SEK 0.04 (-0.03)
