On December 4th, 2023, Reoil Sp. z o.o. of Poland was awarded REACH Registration EC: 948-949-8 for pyrolysis oil from waste rubber and tires. This makes Reoil the first manufacturer in the world with a permit to produce/import the substance or produce or import an article containing it in quantities exceeding 1,000 MT per year in Europe. Reoil is a tire pyrolysis technology developer and operator in Poland. Reoil has been producing tire derived oils and carbon products at their Bukowna site since 2016. Their successful operation allowed them to achieve positive results over the last three years, achieving a turn-over of EUR 11 million from sales of product in 2023 with an EBITDA margin of EUR 6 million.

Ecore International – a converter of reclaimed tire rubber in North America – has recently acquired Ameritread Remanufactured Tires, a Pennsylvania-based company specializing in remanufacturing certified reconstructed tires. This strategic move is in line with Ecore's dedication to sustainability and circular economy. The acquisition enhances Ecore's access to crucial recycled materials, aligning seamlessly with its mission to transform waste into environmentally responsible, high-performance solutions. Art Dodge, CEO of Ecore, emphasizes the synergy between Ameritread's commitment to remanufacturing tires and Ecore's dedication to the circular economy, solidifying their industry leadership in sustainability.

Scandinavian Enviro Systems (publ) (Enviro) has hired Fredrik Emilson, former CEO of Höganäs AB, as the company's new Chief Executive Officer. Emilson takes office in February 2024 at the same time as current CEO Thomas Sörensson moves to a role as senior advisor. Fredrik Emilson comes most recently from Höganäs AB, where he worked since 2010 and from 2017 as CEO. During his time at Höganäs AB, Fredrik also held the role of European manager followed by the role of responsible for Asia. Höganäs is the world leader in metal powder solutions with sales totaling approximately MSEK 12,000 and with 2,400 employees globally.

Jim Fairweather, CEO at Tyrecycle, – an Australian tyre recycling company committed to eliminate the export of whole-baled tyres, to contribute to furthering the circular economy – reposts the company's ongoing investment in new capability and capacity with the Stage 2 development of the Erskine Park site, expected to be completed in the next few months. Additionally, a new Crumbing facility in East Rockingham, Perth, is set to come online. The Perth facility, like Erskine Park, is a multi-purpose plant capable of producing crumb rubber and various sizes of TDF for different overseas markets, including Japan and Korea.

Ecolomondo Corporation (Ecolomondo), a cleantech company specializing in the commercialization of its Thermal Decomposition Process (TDP) proprietary recycling technology and the global deployment of TDP turnkey facilities, has reached an agreement in principle to restructure its original loan agreement (Loan) with Export Development Canada (EDC). The original Loan was for an amount of $32.1 million in project financing with EDC, executed on April 3, 2019, to finance the construction of the Company’s first of its kind new turnkey thermal decomposition facility in the Town of Hawkesbury, Ontario, that will process end-of-life tires to produce re-usable resources.
