The parliamentary response shows that a majority of India’s identified tire pyrolysis units are operating in line with the applicable standard operating procedure. Oman Cement is expanding its alternative fuels and raw materials strategy as part of efforts to reduce production costs, lower greenhouse gas emissions and improve the sustainability of cement manufacturing. In its Board of Directors’ report for the first half of 2026, the Muscat-based cement producer said it is strengthening the sourcing and use of alternative fuels and raw materials to increase its Thermal Substitution Rate, which measures the share of kiln thermal energy supplied by non-fossil fuel sources. The company is evaluating several options, including tire-derived fuel, recovered carbon black and oil sludge, while also continuing work with government authorities and other stakeholders on pretreatment and co-processing of municipal solid waste. The strategy could create additional outlets for end-of-life tire materials by linking tire recycling, pyrolysis outputs and cement kiln co-processing.

Eco Infinic has reached key construction milestones in the expansion of its tire recycling facility in Sriracha, Chonburi.
