To achieve its objectives, RPM strategically integrated Fornnax's high-capacity SR-200 HD primary shredder into its operations in 2024.

Bridgestone Corporation announced that it will be supporting the 2025 Bridgestone World Solar Challenge (BWSC) with ENLITEN™ technology tires, which feature the first application of new recycled materials developed through co-creation with partners, increasing the ratio of recycled and renewable materials to over 65%. The company will supply these tires to 33 teams from 17 locations.

Recently, New Zealand’s Tyrewise released Milestone 2 report, which details its operational results from January to March 2025. Mark Gilbert, Chair of Auto Stewardship New Zealand said Tyrewise is on route to meeting its targets and contributing to sustainable tyre management. Tyrewise is showing strong operational results, ongoing improvements to systems, and is engaged in developing strategies to address gaps in infrastructure and market demand for tyre derived products and fuel.

In 2018, the world took its first objective measure of our economy's circularity. The result, 9.1%, was already sobering. Just over nine percent of all materials consumed by the global economy were being recycled and reintroduced. The remaining ninety percent ended as waste or emissions or locked away in long-lived assets like buildings and infrastructure. Since then, the situation has only worsened despite the circular economy becoming popular in global sustainability dialogues.

Prismore Capital, BDI-BioEnergy International GmbH, and JR New Horizons (the investment arm of the Rieckermann Group) have joined forces to acquire Grupo BB&G’s advanced tire pyrolysis technology. The acquisition includes patents, operational know-how, a demonstration plant located in Portugal, and an existing collaboration with major industry players, including Bridgestone EMEA and Versalis (ENI).

The AZuR network had a strong showing at the 2025 Recircle Awards ceremony in Bologna, taking home seven awards. The international expert jury recognized AZuR partners Genan, Marangoni, and Italmatic for their innovative solutions in retreading and tire recycling. In addition, AZuR network coordinator Christina Guth received the Women’s Award for the Tyre Retreading Sector. “This award is a recognition of the commitment of all AZuR partners in recent years to advancing the circular tire economy,” said Guth at the awards ceremony.
