The global retread tire market is projected to grow from $10.8 billion in 2025 to $18.5 billion by 2035, according to a new market intelligence study published by Radial Insights. Scandinavian Enviro Systems has resolved on a directed issue of shares and warrants to Alumni Capital Limited under its existing financing arrangement, raising approximately SEK 2.5 million before transaction costs. The issue follows a drawdown request under the equity-based investment agreement entered into on May 22, 2026, and amended on August 26, 2026. Enviro will issue 22,222,222 new shares at a subscription price of SEK 0.11439 per share and 1,769,887 warrants to Alumni Capital. The company said the directed issue is intended to secure financing for its ongoing company reorganization in a time- and cost-efficient manner. The financing comes as Enviro continues efforts to stabilize its business, which is focused on patented tire recycling technology, recovered carbon black and the recovery of valuable raw materials from end-of-life tires.

Priority and non-priority creditors, other than related-party creditors without priority, would receive 30% of the nominal amount of their claims. Tokai Carbon has raised its full-year 2026 forecast after first-half results came in ahead of its earlier expectations, with the Japanese carbon materials producer citing a projected recovery in automotive and tire industry demand. The company now expects full-year net sales of Yen386 billion, about €2 billion, up from its previous forecast of Yen370 billion and 19.5% higher than 2025 sales. Operating income is now forecast at Yen35 billion, compared with the previous forecast of Yen28 billion and Yen25.85 billion in 2025. Tokai said the revision reflects expected demand recovery in the automotive and tire markets, which are key customers for its carbon black segment. The update is relevant to the tire industry because carbon black remains one of the main reinforcing materials used in tire production, and demand trends in this segment often reflect broader movements in tire manufacturing and automotive supply chains.
