Pyrum Innovations AG has been operating all three production lines at its headquarters in Dillingen/Saar in parallel for the first time since last weekend. The three reactors will initially be operated together for one week before TAD 1 enters the next maintenance phase as planned.

On November 20, Pyrum Innovations AG (Pyrum) received the unlimited delivery approval from Continental for the Pyrum recovered Carbon Black (rCB) of the plant in Dillingen/Saar. As part of the Continental audit, Pyrum successfully carried out the process capability analysis for the two new lines in recent weeks. The analysis serves to evaluate the short and long-term process stability. The values determined show a long-term capability (Cpk) of 2.16 for TAD 2 and 2.70 for TAD 3 as well as a short-term capability (Ppk) of 2.49 (TAD 2) and 3.38 (TAD 3). The results are above the required standard values specified by the automotive industry (Cpk: 1.33; Ppk: 1.67).

Pyrum Innovations AG has completed its first MaxCap test, running at full capacity at its new plant in Dillingen/Saar. Between September 27 and October 4, the TAD 3 line was gradually brought to 100% throughput, maintaining peak operation for a week. While solid output met 100% capacity, oil and gas production reached 95% due to a quench pump blockage, an issue mitigated in future tests by using a reserve pump.

Pyrum Innovations AG (Pyrum) today published its consolidated financial report for the period from 1 January to 30 June 2024. The half-year results and the financial position of the company continued to be largely characterised by investments at the company headquarters in Dillingen/Saar and for orders for plant components with long delivery times for the new site in Perl-Besch, as well as investments in personnel expansion and the further development of the organisational structure. In addition, throughput volumes at the rCB pelletising plant were still below target.

On July 30, 2024, Pyrum Innovations AG (Pyrum) and Continental signed a framework agreement for the long-term purchase of Pyrum’s recovered Carbon Black (rCB). The agreement covers the rCB purchase quantities for at least two Pyrum plants, with a term of ten years. Continental will also supply Pyrum with end-of-life tires. In addition, Continental has agreed to make an advance payment for future rCB deliveries.
