The second AZuR Retreading Summit took place on September 16–17, 2025, at the KRONE Trailer Forum in Werlte. More than 80 participants from the new tire and retreading industries, logistics, politics, and academia met to discuss technologies, materials, and opportunities for increasing the market share of retreaded tires. The program featured expert presentations, case studies, a partner exhibition, and a tour of KRONE’s assembly and surface facilities.

AZuR’s (Allianz Zukunft Reifen) new partner, the Gesellschaft im Ostalbkreis für Abfallbewirtschaftung mbH (GOA), a municipal waste management company in Germany, has been relying on retreaded tires for many years. On 8 July 2025, the AZuR project group on retreading met at Marangoni’s facility in Henstedt-Ulzburg to advance strategies for strengthening tire retreading in Germany and across Europe. A main focus was preparation for the second AZuR Retreading Summit, scheduled for 16–17 September 2025 at the KRONE TrailerForum. The event will bring together key players in transport and logistics to promote the circular economy through retreaded tires, with a special Logistics Day for fleet operators.
