Pyrum Innovations AG has scheduled the official groundbreaking ceremony for its new tire recycling plant in Perl-Besch, Germany, for November 14, 2025. The facility, which will be the company's largest to date, is designed to process more than 22,000 tons of end-of-life tires annually and will be fully owned and operated by Pyrum. Once operational, the plant will more than double the company's total recycling capacity.

Ecolomondo Corporation (TSXV: ECM) (OTCQB: ECLMF), a leading Canadian innovator in sustainable scrap tire recycling technology, announced a steady increase of output in its thermal decomposition department at the Hawkesbury TDP facility. In order to support the increased demand for its end-products, the Company reports that it achieved new production levels and recently performed 4 double batches in 4 days, all in automatic mode. During these 4 production days, the TDP facility processed 60 tons of crumb rubber and recovered approximately 24 tons of recovered carbon black (“rCB”), 6 tons of syngas and 350 barrels of tire-derived oil, the equivalent of over 2 tanker loads of oil.

The Latin American Rubber Technology Society (SLTC) has announced the 4th Latin American Tire Recycling Conference, to be held from November 12–14, 2025, at the Ágora Bogotá Convention Center. The event will bring together professionals, companies, and institutions involved in tire recycling, the circular economy, and sustainable technologies.

Cabot Corporation announced that it has enhanced its manufacturing capabilities in North America for circular reinforcing carbons powered by its EVOLVE® Sustainable Solutions technology platform. With this milestone, Cabot's site in Ville Platte, Louisiana, USA joins Mauá, Brazil and Valasske Mezirici (Valmez), Czech Republic as manufacturing locations with demonstrated circular reinforcing carbons production capability. The circular reinforcing carbons are made using tire pyrolysis oil (TPO) derived from end-of-life tires that leverage an International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC) PLUS mass balance approach. Furthermore, Cabot has expanded its global network of ISCC PLUS certified sites to 14 facilities, enhancing the supply of certified sustainable solutions while advancing the company’s commitment to a circular, sustainable economy.

According to Tokai Carbon Co., Ltd., the company has completed the acquisition of Bridgestone Carbon Black (Thailand) Co., Ltd. from Bridgestone Corporation and Asahi Carbon Co., Ltd., marking a strategic expansion of its carbon black business in Southeast Asia. The transaction, valued at approximately THB 2.05 billion (USD 56 million), was finalized on September 30, 2025.

The European Union’s REACH Regulation (EC 1907/2006) has long set the benchmark for chemicals legislation worldwide. Since entering into force in 2007, REACH has reshaped how industries produce, import, and use chemical substances. Its philosophy is straightforward but demanding: “no data, no market.” Companies must generate safety data and register any substance manufactured or imported in quantities of one ton or more per year. While waste itself is exempt, once a waste-derived product—such as pyrolysis oil, recovered carbon black (rCB), or syngas—achieves end-of-waste status, it is treated as a chemical substance and falls within REACH obligations.

Eco Infinic announced that the second-phase expansion of its Chon Buri, Thailand facility will be completed by the end of 2025. Upon completion, the plant’s capacity to process end-of-life tires will increase to 100,000 metric tons per year, while annual production capacity of recovered carbon black (rCB) and tire pyrolysis oil (TPO) will reach 30,000 metric tons and 35,000 metric tons, respectively, significantly expanding the company’s overall production scale.
